Do you watch Holiday Baking Championship, which airs on the Food Network?
If you don’t, you’re surely familiar with the wildly popular competition, reality show. On December 12, local baking phenom, Amy McBride, appeared as a contestant with her trusty mixing bowl and spatula in hand. This will be her fourth time competing on Food Network. Amy previously competed on Season 10 of Halloween Wars and was an assistant on two other shows.

The show’s press release describes the episode as…
The natives of the North Pole are very sporting types, and they even have their own games! Host Carla Hall challenges the gingerbreading teams to create giant displays that show off the unique games played up in Santa’s stomping grounds. Each team must include at least one moving part and a dessert that’s made with a “strong” ingredient in honor of all the strong athletes. Judges Stephanie Boswell and Kalen Allen help Carla decide which team takes home the gold and $10,000.
Amy McBride is currently the Cake Artist at Sea Island, where she makes all of their wedding cakes.

Sea Island is the only resort in the world to achieve four Forbes Five Stars 14 years in a row.
Their website page, www.seaisland.com/weddings/our-services/, promotes Amy’s sweet offerings as…
A custom cake that’s love at first bite. One that reflects your taste and style. It’s wedding cake magic. From traditional Southern pound cake with sea salt caramel filling to vanilla genoise with buttercream and coconut flakes, our Cake Artist will meet with you to design the cake in person, then bring your vision to life.
In addition, Amy makes larger-than-life gingerbread houses and specialty showpieces for hotels, private events and other specialty functions. She has been cake decorating since she was 12 years old – and professionally since she was 16! Congratulations, Amy!!!
