The Liberty Ship Memorial Plaza is about more than a 23-foot ship model—it’s about the people who made history. Dedicated on Memorial Day in 2001 at its home in Brunswick’s Mary Ross Waterfront Park, the plaza serves as a living tribute. It honors the men and women who worked tirelessly at Brunswick’s J.A. Jones Shipyard building Liberty ships, as well as the U.S. Merchant Marine and Navy Armed Guard enlistees who bravely sailed these vessels during World War II.

The Brunswick Harbor Market is an open-air market with a variety of food, fresh fruits and vegetables, boiled peanuts, and other homemade goods and crafts and specialty vendors. Hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturday of each month.
