Leader of the Pack pays tribute to the life and music of Ellie Greenwich, whose doo-wop sounds skyrocketed to the top of the ’60s charts. The story unfolds as Ellie reflects on her journey, from her humble beginnings in Brooklyn to her rise to being one of the most successful pop songwriters of her time. Leader of the Pack is a celebration of Greenwich’s lasting influence on the world of pop music, featuring her classic hits such as “Chapel of Love,” “Da Doo Ron Ron,” “Be My Baby,” “Hanky Panky,” Do Wah Diddy Diddy,” “And Then He Kissed Me” and, of course, the title song, “Leader of the Pack.” and explores all of Greenwich’s highs and lows along the way.
