We invite you to come and experience the heart of independent storytelling in the Golden Isles on October 22-25, 2026.
10/22- 10/25/2026: The Golden Isles Film Festival (GIFF) is where independent cinema meets coastal Georgia charm. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Golden Isles, the #1 Best U.S. Islands, per Travel + Leisure’s 2024 World’s Best Awards, GIFF has become the region’s premier celebration of bold storytelling and cinematic innovation. Each year, we bring together visionary filmmakers, industry professionals, and passionate film lovers for an immersive weekend of discovery.
From award-worthy features to experimental shorts that push boundaries, our carefully curated program showcases the voices and visions shaping independent film today. Beyond the screenings, GIFF offers intimate filmmaker Q&As, industry panels led by working professionals, and networking opportunities designed to spark collaboration and conversation.
GIFF is a grassroots 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that serves as an incubator to Coastal Georgia’s tourism, educating filmmakers and audiences alike through a programmatic focus on community engagement, education of the film industry, and economic development to boost local commerce, all while supporting independent filmmaking. Partnering with organizations like the Coastal Entertainment Alliance and the Savannah Regional Film Commission, we aim to enhance Georgia’s coastal film industry as a sustainable hub.
