Welcome to the 39th Annual Sunshine Festival July 4th Race! Generations have enjoyed this fun for the whole family event! The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will be held immediately following the 5K at 8:00 AM. The 1 Mile Fun Run will start and finish at the same location as the 5k.
- The 5k race winds through the beautiful live oak and Spanish moss-lined streets of St. Simons Island at 7:00 AM!
- Start/Finish Location: St Simons Park / Kings Park, 515 Park Ave, St Simons Island, GA 31522 (Across from Mallery Park). The race starts on Park Ave beside the basketball court.
Starting line will be sorted by expected pace, fast people upfront, walkers, and strollers in the back. Your time starts when you cross the mat. - The bathrooms are in Mallery Park, Casino, and porta-potties.
- Fees include a high-quality short-sleeve T-shirt (youth and adult sizes) or Tank Top (adult sizes).
